Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast who has led her U.S. team to victories in both 2012 and 2016. She has earned six Olympic medals all over the world as well as being a part of two gold-medal winning World Championships teams. Aly is from Needham which is located in Massachusetts. The passion she has for the sport of gymnastics is traceable to an 18-month-old "mommy with me" class. Aly Raisman is a defender of body positivity and a role model both on and off-the-floor and spoke about Larry Nassar during his sentencing hearing. Aly Raisman, born in 1994, took up gymnastics when she was an infant and contributed to helping with the U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. The year 2012 saw Raisman win two golds at the London Olympics - one in the team event and the other in individual floor exercises - as well as a bronze on the beam. Raisman won silver in both the individual and floor finals at the 2016 Olympics at Rio. In addition, she took home the gold medal from the competition for team gymnastics. Raisman revealed a shocking story in the year 2017. The athlete had been victimized sexually by former team physician Larry Nassar. In the next year, Raisman sued USA Gymnastics.
